Together Again At Last

Brandon and Colin were 6 weeks old yesterday and they finally got to meet each other outside the womb!! Since they were out of the isolettes and in open cribs it dawned on me that I should ask about the boys cobedding, since they are going to be sharing a mini-crib at the foot of our bed for a couple of months once they come home anyway. And long story short nurse Dee was able to locate a larger crib used for cobedding twins. It is a stainless steel crib and not as pretty as the white wooden cribs they have (all of those were in use) so it actually looks more like a baby jail, heh, but it suits our purposes.

After we took the pictures above we moved them apart a little more so that they weren't right next to each other, but there isn't a whole lot of room in that crib so they are still pretty close to each other. I just hope they don't yank out each other's NG tubes like Dee said twins have done in the past! And I hope Brandon's grunting and short outbursts doesn't keep laid back Colin awake :)

Also both grandmothers got to hold one of the boys yesterday while they had an NG feed, which made their day. "Grammy" (my mom) held Brandon and later in the evening Grandma Dallas held Colin, a first for both.

As of last night Brandon weighed 4 lb 13.1 oz and Colin weighed 4 lb 12.8 oz, so Colin is starting to gain on his brother again and may take the lead in the Great Weight Race :) We hope they hit 5 lbs by this weekend!

Lastly, here is a picture of them taken a few days ago after I put them in cute sleepers that Michelle's mom, Ann, got them. Colin is on the left and Brandon is on the right.
